K9 Massages by Peter Grant

Peter Grant takes pride in providing excellent care of your best friend during their massage sessions. Stressed and inflamed muscles are not only reserved for humans, and too often canines experience immense discomfort due to muscular and soft tissue distress.

We provide musculoskeletal therapy for all dog breeds (pure bred or mixed, no matter how large or small). Our treatments are based on Emmett Therapy for Dogs and Canine Myofunctional Therapy.

Emmett Therapy is a gentle muscle release therapy using light pressure at specific points, known as “Emmett points”. This gentle and safe muscle release technique is used to increase movement and improve balance for your pet.

Canine Myofunctional Therapy uses canine remedial massage assessment and treatment tools similar to human remedial massage treatments (e.g. trigger point, myofascial release, deep gliding, stretching).

Symptoms that may be relieved:

– Injuries from sport or accidents

– Unbalance gait/stance

– Lead strain

– Lower back distress

– Inhibited movement/muscle restrictions

– Poor performance/behaviour changes

Aromatherapy for Pets – Using therapeutic grade, pure essential oils or hydrosols in various formulations for a specific healing purpose. designed to influence the overall health of the animal.

The initial consultation allows us to meet you and your dog, and for your dog to meet us! During the treatment, we assess your dog to better understand what is happening, then we conduct an appropriate treatment and discuss how we will formulate a treatment plan ideal for any future treatments.

Your dog’s first visit to Peter Grant Massage Therapist. The Body Assessment and health history is important so Peter can establish an individualised appropriate treatment plan.

Any subsequent treatments to assess progress and adjust treatment accordingly.
