Our Massages by Peter Grant

Techniques used in Peter Grant massages will be individually tailored to your specific needs. Remedial Massage techniques may include:

Deep Tissue Massage – involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. This helps to break up scar tissue that forms following an injury and reduce tension in muscle and tissue

Sports Massage – Sports massage uses a variety of approaches to help athletes in training — before, during, or after sports events. Use it to promote flexibility and help prevent injuries. It may help muscle strains, aiding healing after a sports injury.

Trigger Point Massage – Trigger point massages are best suited for people who have injuries, chronic pain, or a specific issue or condition. Sometimes areas of tightness in the muscle tissues, known as trigger points, can cause pain in other parts of the body. By focusing on relieving trigger points, this type of massage can reduce pain.

Myofascial Cupping – The myofascial cupping technique focuses on the fascia – the spiderweb-like soft tissue component of the connective tissue system that covers the entire body, wrapping around muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, organs, nerves and blood vessels. Myofascial cupping helps to lift and separate the fascia, reducing adhesions and helping to increase range of motion and decrease pain linked to myofascial trigger points. See Client Information page for Myofascial Cupping Consent Form.

Dry Needling – Dry Needling is the insertion of a very fine acupuncture needle into the muscle tissue, in an attempt to reduce muscle pain and tension. Dry needling is usually performed at the site of pain/dysfunction or very close to it. See Client Information page for Dry Needling Consent Form.

Pregnancy Massage – A safe way for women to get a massage during pregnancy. It can help reduce pregnancy body aches, reduce stress, and ease muscle tension.
